I love you to the moon and back baby shower

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting our friend’s baby shower, Margret, with 4 other gals and we really pulled it off, if I may say so myself! NOT without the help of our amazing vendors, but it turned out so darn cute. Margret is having her first little boy, and I really wanted to do a stars and moon theme so I went with the book “I love you to the Moon and Back” theme. It had light and dark blues, gold, silver and white hues, so these were easy to work with. We did all the decor in these colors, including the flowers and desserts and let the grazing board do it’s own thing!

Decor

We wanted to keep the decor simple and just chose two main components: flowers and balloon arch. Margret had the perfect staircase for the balloon arch, and it made for a great entry for the guests, and a great photo background! These balloons came out amazing, by Isabella and really filled the house in a way we couldn’t have done.  We cleared out Margret’s living room and brought in white tables, which were covered in white tablecloths from Party City, and white chairs to make a good backdrop. Our flowers were simple, lots of white (Hydrangeas are so easy).

Moon and Stars: The other big part of the decor were my stars and moon. I bought the foam board from Office Depot and printed out a star print. I traced the star print onto the foam board and cut those out. Then, I had my husband (good at drawing and painting) draw a large moon for me and I cut that out as well. Then I sprayed the moon in silver spray paint, and drizzled glue on the stars and sprinkled large gold glitter on those.to the moon and back baby showerto the moon and back baby shower decor

Food

Margret knew from the beginning she wanted a large grazing board as her only food. TALK ABOUT AMAZING! Look at this thing! It was so impressive, and a huge focal point for the guests. They talked about it for days! It is pretty pricey, but saved us so much time not having to do it ourselves! Ours’ was set up by Legendairy in Houston.

As far as the treats, we chose cake balls which was AMAZE balls and super easy to pick up and eat, a gorgeous cake and dipped strawberries by Galis Goodies grazing board for partyto the moon and back baby shower to the moon and back baby shower to the moon and back baby shower desserts baby shower theme to the moon and back to the moon and back baby shower

Drinks

We kept drinks easy by just doing a cute little Mimosa Bar with champagne from Costco and a few juices. We used one of our bar carts so that was really easy too!to the moon and back baby shower
