San Antonio in 48 hours

I love a quick getaway trip, especially when I get some alone time with my older son, Finley. We had the amazing opportunity to visit the JW Marriot San Antonio Resort and Spa and were completely blown away by what the resort had to offer and the level of customer service they provided! We did NOT want to leave, but had to (had to ha) visit Six Flags the next day so we will definitely be back very soon! It was not enough time at the resort! The JW San Antonio has a nine-acre water park featuring a 650-foot rapid river and 1,100-foot lazy river. Need I say more? They have multiple pools, adults only pools, beach entry pools, and even one pool that actually has a beach for the kids to play in the sand. Us moms were able to sit and watch the kids dig in the sand with a drink in our hand! At the pool we got a cabana which is just so nice to leave all your things, and be able to rest from the sun. The kids played and swam until they were hungry, then ordered almost the whole menu and everything was seriously so delish. Then, back to playing! The JW has another pool with just small slides for the kids so we walked over there and rode the slides a bunch of times, and didn’t want to stop. Then we showered and came back down to the restaurant area to let the kids play in the green space while we sipped champagne. The hotel has this huge green space that right outside the back doors and is accessed from the restaurant on the first floor. So you can eat while the kids play and you can still see them, or enjoy the fireplaces and huge sitting area. Seriously BEST NIGHT EVER! There really isn’t a huge reason to leave this resort. They have lots of fun events and activities and multiple restaurants to visit. The grounds are very large, and I still haven’t made it to the spa! It’s definitely a place you can go Friday-Sunday and just stay there especially in the summer with the pools.

They have a very large patio with multiple fireplaces and an amazing hill country view. The hotel sets up movies on the lawn, games, and at Christmas time has reindeer come and visit. JW Marriott San Antonio Resort and Spa

Before we left for Six Flags we just had to visit this pool so Finley could dig in the sand! We were here by 845am and you can see we were the only ones!JW Marriott San Antonio Resort and Spa

On the way to the Resort we HAD to stop at the super cute Hotel Havana and have lunch at OCHO. Perfect photo spots, and authentic spanish food!

Six Flags was a good time, although the water park area was closed and we weren’t expecting that, so make sure it’s open before you go! There weren’t MANY rides the toddlers could do but we still had fun! We rode enough for our young children and the ferris wheel too, which I almost had an anxiety attack on.
