Things I can’t live without this summer

Happy June y’all! I wanted to do a roundup of a few items I’m loving and using and linking all the time! Now that it’s summer and we’re outside so much I put wanted to compile a list to maybe give you some ideas for yourself and your family! Summer should be fun and simple and that is definitely how I’m living it! Lots of pool time (even sprinkler time), lots of lemonade (errr wine) and lots of tinted moisturizer with sunscreen and no makeup! Don’t be afraid to give your skin a break-you will probably see a huge difference if you just let it breathe awhile.

  1. I’m obsessed with any hat really but really this visor. It’s just so easy and i’ve been able to wear a little front bun and still wear one. So, if you’re worried about your hair, fear no more. Tip: if you have a hair part, put powder sunscreen on it, mine hair part just burned last week while I was running.
  2. Rashguards are great protection-I use them for myself and my kids wear them too. You can find the kids ones at Gap and Old Navy, but too much sun is just not fun for me. We don’t want burns and I think about sun damage a lot. I take good care of skin, so no point in ruining it in the sun. Shoulders get the most sun!
  3. My new favorite tanning lotion! I’m on my second bottle. It’s a super clean product, goes on easily and smells good. I wait a few minutes and then put my clothes back on. Apply it in circles, and don’t be afraid to use a good portion!
  4. Anything from Target right now! I link so much from Target! You can find everything here that I wear!
  5. Sunscreen for my chest shoulders and neck! I was using a Neutrogena sunscreen for my chest and shoulders and I always got bumps, so I’m staying true to my Tula and using this now when I’m outside.
  6. I have ALWAYS been a small studs girl and recently wanted to try some hoops. These are affordable and small and I’ve loved them! I even have worn them to Soulcycle.
  7. My go to shorts-LEVIS. I looked awhile for good shorts that don’t stretch out, are high enough on my waist, don’t show my butt….found them! And under $70. Super comparable to the Agolde everyone wears but half the price.
  8. J.Crew is hands down my favorite for swimsuits. I buy them from here every year and every year I take out my old ones and wear those too. They are worth every penny. This pink one piece fit my long torso and I’m just obsessed with the ruffles.
  9. Lots of time outside and made me buy lots of toys for my outside. A few things about this: I have made my outside something that I LOVE and this has made a huge difference. In Texas we’re swamped by mosquitos, 100 degrees and 100% humidity. It’s awful! I had to make my yard a place I love so my kids can play outside and I can be happy. With that said, we installed turf last year and it has made a HUGE difference. I bought cute furniture from HomeGOODs, Target and Wayfair, and we re-did our landscaping. I also bought mosquito foggers for my yard. After all this, it’s been a great place for us to sit outside and drink wine while the kids play, so I’ve purchased some really fun things for the back! Think water table, cute blow up pool, outside games, and get creative! I bought some small pots and flower seeds and the kids have planted some of their own plants too and now we all help to take care of them! I linked lots of outdoor toys here.
