The Woodlands Resort Staycation

Last week my friends and I had the pleasure of having a little staycation at The Woodlands Resort with our babes! Two of us are 37 weeks pregnant and thought this would be so great because we were still 45 minutes from Houston, but felt like we were on vacation! We stayed two nights which was the perfect amount of time with the kids and the pool and had the best time with the toddlers! uppababy cruz stroller

The Resort

Everything was on the grounds, so this made it super easy with the kids-multiple pools, slides, kid’s pool, splash pad, and the lazy river. The smaller kids area is where our kids mainly played ( kid’s pool and splash pad) and we were able to sit and watch them from the chairs-this is key! Multiple restaurants on the property let us have easy breakfast with the babes before we headed out to the pool! Special thanks to the resort for our private cabanas the second day which was such a nice break! We got to sit, eat, and let the kids watch a little TV while we got some R&R. My 37 week belly got heavy quick chasing Finley around!

The grounds were amazing, and our rooms overlooked the lake and the golf course! It was such a nice view! It really was so nice to feel like you had escaped Houston but were really so close! No one likes the long drive back home after a trip, especially with kids!

Cutest ice cream spot right next to the pool! Of course we needed a shot and a scoop!the woodlands resort

Because of the close proximity to Houston, our husbands were even able to come for a little while which was so nice! They headed back home in the evening for work the next day when we headed up to our rooms!vacations for toddlers
